Cheonnyeon Galbi (천년 갈비) is a Korean restaurant. Specializes in Korean BBQ, both pork and beef, both plain and marinated, both boneless and bone-in. Just opened.

The food was quite good. With a variety of options, and one of those servers who insists that everything on the menu is good, we chose three items: (i) dweji (pork) yangnyeom (marinated) galbi (ribs) (14,000 won for 250 g), (ii) so (beef) yangnyeom (marinated) galbi (ribs) (24,000 won for 250 g), and (iii) so (beef) yangnyeom (marinated) galbisal (rib fingers) (17,000 for 200 g). The marinades were all similarly soy-based, mild and nicely balanced, though the pork was a bit sweeter with a hint of ginger, while the beef was more garlicky. The meats were tender and tasty, enhanced with charcoal grilling. While (ii) was the clear favorite (and most expensive), we were also happy with (i) and (ii) (much better prices).
This is a strong contender to be our neighborhood go-to meat joint.
