Chicken Cauliflower Yeondobo

In lieu of soy sauce and sugar, as per my standard recipe for adobo (see 11.143 Chicken Adobo), I tried to substitute Yeondu. No reason, just curious.
It turned out fine. Except the color, which was kinda weirdly pale, Yeondu not being very dark.
