Dropped by the mall again to check how the family sale was going, ate dinner in the mall again afterwards (see previously 12.118 Locos BBQ Combo).

Next door, a long line of customers at the standard Korean-Chinese restaurant.

Midim is a Japanese/Chinese restaurant.  The menu offers variations of soba and dimsum.

Meanwhile, this place was virtually empty.

The food was okay.  The xiaolongbao had tasty soup, but the filling was kinda bitter, too heavy with aromatics (2.0) – it was probably our least favorite, but I liked the plating.  The hargow were decent (2.5).  The siomai were juicy and flavorful, the best of the bunch (3.0).  Very pricy, ranging from 6,500 to 8,500 for 3 dumplings, even if they were larger than usual – our bill came out to 42,500 won.  Nevertheless, I was pleased to encounter dimsum, which remains elusive in Korea.

We had originally ordered a few to go (paper boxes), but then decided to order additional varieties and eat at the restaurant (bamboo steamers).
