At the end of a hard week at work, I was too tired to cook, so I dropped by Lee Sang for dinner.  Again, I invited the family to join me, but they opted to stay in (see also 12.129 Chicken Karaage).  Fine by me.

The rice was perfectly seasoned.

Out of nowhere, I had the idea to request sushi rice on the side, to make my own.  I wanted sashimi as the primary dish, better as an accompaniment for slowly sipped soju, but figured that I’d want some kind of rice dish at some point to make it a meal.  It was awesome.

Rather than trying to simulate nigiri balls, which kept falling apart, I soon realized that it was easier to eat the fish and the rice in separate but serial bites.
Hwayo, my go-to booze at Japanese joints.
