I hate to waste food, especially good food, especially good food that I made.
So, with leftovers from yesterday’s birthday feast (see 12.194 Spaghetti al Pomodoro Crudo), I made 2 dishes for dinner tonight.
First, an upgraded version of the Jansson’s Medley, adding penne pasta (primo) and shrimp (deluxe), as well as fresh flat-leaf parsley. The extra components mellowed out the saltiness and made for an all-in-one dish.
Second, spaghetti with sauce from the truffle gravy, plus ground beef, tomato paste, and baby arugula.
In some ways, I preferred the tonight’s meal.
