Pan-Grilled Lamb Chops in Butter Curry Sauce

Impromptu visit by the in-laws – YAY!  Impromptu dinner with ingredients on hand, fortunately happened to have lamb, which FIL loves – YAY!

This time, I grilled the chops in the laundry/utility room, which has windows to the outside for immediate ventilation.  The chops were cooked at a higher temperature, generating more smoke and imparting stronger charred flavor (see for comparison 12.014 Battle: Lamb).

In addition to flavoring the meat, the soot further enhanced the curry with a layer of smokiness.

The Prisoner Wine Company The Prisoner Red Blend (2019): the spiciness of the zinfandel-based blend paired very very nicely with the lamb and the curry.

The process left me so smoked – I was wearing an N95 the entire time – that I had to take a shower and change my clothes before sitting down to the meal.
