Tandoori Chicken

Agra is an Indian restaurant chain.  I had a bad experience at the original location in Itaewon, where I described the featured dish on GMTD as “the biggest rip-off that I’ve ever experienced at an Indian restaurant” (2.337 Tandoori Shrimp).  Since then, they’ve expanded to 24 branches across the country, which has got to be the biggest chain in Korea that doesn’t involve Korean/Chinese/Japanese/American/Italian food.

The food was … okay, maybe.  The tandoori chicken was competently prepared, very cutely plated over a bed of burning twigs, but served in a yogurt-based sauce, sprinkled with jarred black olives + raw spinach leaves + deep-fried garlic slices, making a simple dish overly complicated.  The spinach part of the paneer palaak was passable, but the cheese tasted suspiciously like mozzarella.  Anyway, the meal was a welcome departure from the crap that I endure daily at work.
