Korokke is a Japanese dish. A base of mashed potatoes, mixed with additional ingredients (e.g., minced meats, seafoods, vegetables), formed into a thick disk, coated in bread crumbs, deep-fried. Commonly eaten on its own as a snack, also as a component in other dishes. The name derives from the Japanese pronunciation of the French “croquette.”

A handmade version by DJ was featured on GMTD 9 years ago (see 5.102 Potato & Corn Croquettes).
