Daega Chamchi is a Japanese/Korean restaurant. Specializes in tuna sashimi.

While W is in Japan this week on a business trip, I’ve assumed sole responsibility for the boys until she returns, which primarily involves feeding them for dinner. When they were young, I relished the role of caregiver, and everyone (including W) acknowledges that I’m better at it. But now, I’m too old, too tired, too cynical, and they’re now too old to care anymore.

I recall, vaguely, reading an article exploring the psychology of customers ordering wine at restaurants, who overwhelmingly go with the 2nd cheapest one.
Likewise, I think that customers in Korea, faced with a range of table d’hôte menu options, tend to select the 2nd cheapest one.
Here, we went with the Guk Set at 55,000 won per pax, one step above the Juk Set at 35,000 won per pax.

The food was okay. The tuna was fine. The sides were laughable. We will likely not be returning.
