Having recently asserted that “sweet corn is not eaten on the cob” in Korea (see 14.134 Oksusu), I was wrong.

At the convenience store today, a 2+1 deal: 5,600 won for 3 = about 1,850 won per ear.

Since when, I don’t know – sometime while I was in the Philippines – sweet corn-on-the-cob is now sold, precooked and packaged individually.  Available in 2 varieties: plain and grilled (“grill”).  Just microwave for 30 seconds and enjoy.

Good.  Thankfully, the corn was seasoned only with salt, no other flavor enhancers, so it just tasted like corn.  While the grilled features bits of black on the outside, I couldn’t detect much charred flavor, pretty much the same as the plain.  Nice snack.
