Number One Fan LJY is in town! (Not really a fan anymore, can’t recall the last time that she left a comment, but with nobody else vying for the role (GK?), she retains the title.). Haven’t seen her in person since a brief dinner in LA (see 9.360 Teppanyaki Combination: Maine Scallops + Nova Scotia Lobster Tail).
We met up at the warehouse so she could check out my new workplace and had dinner afterwards at Oki Sushi.
The food was pretty good. But not as good as my first visit, when everything had seemed more seasonal and innovative (see 13.341 Omakase), whereas many of the dishes tonight were from the menu. Also, we didn’t even get to the main courses because LJY got full on the appetizers. (She also punked out after a single highball.)
