Like before (see most recently 15.062 Paccheri & Meatballs), but this time with a jarred “carbonara” sauce from local food producer Fresco, which I found too dense and too smoky (from the bacon?).

The label notes that the sauce includes cream + cheese + bacon, but no egg.

In Korea, any white cream sauce is referred to as “carbonara” (see for example 2.254 Assorted Sausages in Carbonara Sauce).   The closest that I’ve come to an authentic carbonara was at Numero Tres, even though the egg yolk wan’t part of the underlying sauce but rather served on top of the pasta, to be mixed in by the customer (see 11.318 Spaghetti Carbonara).
