For our second author visit of the year, we supported illustrator Stephen Waterhouse’s residency at SIS this week.

Stephen is working with students to create a mural, which will be displayed permanently in the elementary school library.

In addition to sourcing Stephen’s (out of print) pop-up book and offering them to the SIS community through a group purchase pre-sale, we also attended the book signing event this afternoon to facilitate on-site book sales.

IZ, manning the table – as always, with a perfunctory quip about child labor.

The event wrapped at 16:00, and we were home by 16:15, leaving me plenty of time to whip up a taco platter from scratch, including pico de gallo and handmade tacos.
