With leftover cocktail sauce that I’d prepared for the crab feast last weekend (see generally 17.110 King Crab – 6.35 Kilos!).

For future reference, don’t serve shrimp with visible poop veins – not that it makes much difference, just unsightly.

Home Renovation: Day 58

On the way home, I’d dropped by to check on the apartment, which is coming along nicely – aiming for mid-May completion.

KITCHEN / DINING ROOM / LIVING ROOM

D-0: Originally a small bedroom (left) and living room.

D-1: Demolishing part of the bedroom wall to make way for the kitchen.

D-5: Demolition complete.

D-14: Wood paneling in progress.

D-37: Wood paneling and windows complete.

D-52: Wallpaper and flooring complete.

D-56: Kitchen cabinets + island installed.

Awaiting appliances.

Much more storage capacity and counter space than our current place.

MY BEDROOM

D-0: Originally the kitchen, dining room, and main bathroom.

D-1: Removed the kitchen, where my desk and bed will go; bathroom will be my personal bathroom.

D-5: Demolition complete.

D-14: Back wall includes extra insulation.

D-37: Outer wall and door installed.

D-52: Wallpaper and flooring complete.

D-58: Lego shelving installed.

Awaiting sliding doors.

Bed complete.

We’ll be meeting with the design agency next Wednesday for a penultimate inspection to point out final tweaks.
