Fettuccine with Bacon & Asparagus in Cream Sauce

Fresh fettuccine purchased at Costco.

Beyond the main pasta dish, I was more impressed by the tomato soup.  Starting with Rao’s (see generally 17.168 Spaghetti & Meatballs in Rao’s Homemade Marinara Sauce), I added beef bone stock and spices then whizzed with an immersion blender until smooth.  It turned out mouth-puckeringly hot and tangy, counterbalancing the heaviness of the cream.  Soon to be a featured dish in a future post.
