Without knowing anything about it, I purchased a 2-pack bottle of Rao’s marinara sauce at Costco.

Turns out that Rao’s is a very famous Italian restaurant in New York City, founded 1896, now with locations in Las Vegas, Hollywood, Miami. They also sell food products, such as olive oil, pasta, and sauces.

It’s good. As the ingredients would suggest – the first listed is Italian Whole Peeled Tomatoes, and not a single chemical included – the sauce tastes homemade. Not that great on its own, but the neutral flavors make it an excellent base.
