Inspired by the fish counter of our local supermarket (see 11.229 Gwangeo Hoe) – every fish counter in every medium/large supermarket in Korea offers nearly the same selection – this recurring series on Give Me This Day explores food fishes that are available in Korea and how they are prepared.  The fish are ranked according to general perceptions of popularity/ubiquity, as determined entirely unscientifically by the writers of GMTD:
