Kani is Japanese-style artificial crab sticks. Typically made of fish and extenders with crab flavoring and food coloring.
DJ is going on a field trip tomorrow. Kids in Korea are culturally required to pack gimbap on field trips. I haven’t made rolls in years, and I wanted to make sure that I could still do it, so I tried a test run tonight. Not a full-blown gimbap, just a simple Japanese-style maki of kani and mayo – should’ve added sriracha sauce.
