Try Every Item at Tao Yuan (25) (see also TEITY)

Eating my way through the restaurant’s entire menu, currently at 222 items.

Tasted 6 new items tonight, bringing the total to 141 items tasted thus far, 81 items remaining, averaging 5.6 items per visit, on pace to finish at TEITY 40.

When I get home early enough, this is what I see: the sun setting over Manila Bay – I gotta get home early more often.

Got a tabletop induction grill.  Powerful.  Quiet.  Flat.  Slick.  (Pricey.)  Having already brought my cast iron pot from Korea, I am equipped to make shabu shabu.

Shabu shabu + Ki + Tao Yuan = Shabukity.

For the pilot implementation, I used the opportunity to advance TEITY by ordering several items from the hot pot menu as takeout.  Items amenable to transportation, things that I couldn’t prepare myself at home.  While the food per se was hit and miss, they did make the experience much more dynamic than sliced beef alone would have.  I should do this whenever I can.

Crystal Shrimp Ball (1.0): the glutinous rice skin was sticky and awful + Fried Bean Curd Stick (2.0) + Hand-Made Squid Ball (3.0) + Fish Tofu (3.5) + Fried Fish Cake (2.5) + Hand-Made Beef Ball (0.5): deplorable, the worst item from the hot pot menu thus far.
