The Prodigal Son Returns to Celebrate Holy Week, Day 1.

In the Philippines–arguably the most passionately Catholic country in the world–Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are national holidays.

I’ll be spending the extended weekend in Seoul, arriving early this morning, flying back to Manila Sunday evening.

For lunch at our favorite street food stall (see most recently 5.267 Ddeokbokki + Sundae), now right across the street.

During trips home, I often make a big batch of meatball mash sauce for the boys and freeze it in small containers so that they can have a taste of daddy’s cooking while I’m away.

This time, we decided to eat some on the spot.
