Yue Lai is a Chinese restaurant, located on Mabini (half-block north of Malvar).

Pipa tofu is a Chinese tofu dish.  Tofu, aromatics, egg, and other ingredients, typically minced seafood, all mashed together, formed into droplet-shaped dumplings — pipa is a traditional Chinese stringed instrument with a round base narrowing at the top — deep-fried or steamed, served in a soy/oyster sauce gravy.

At Yue Lai, the pipa toufu was very good.  Firm crust on the outside, tender within.  Nicely seasoned.  Light yet hearty, my kind of dish.

Shrimp with Broccoli (2.25) — nicely seasoned, but the broccoli had been overcooked to mush.

Overall, the food was okay.  Good enough to warrant a repeat visit for further confirmation.
