From Novotel (hotel), Pavilion (mall) is accessible within a minute’s walk.

Mission to Malaysia, Day 5 (see previously 6.331 Nasi Lemak).

In Kuala Lumpur.  Here to facilitate a regional workshop on restricting the marketing of foods and non-alcoholic beverages to children, Tuesday to Friday.  Arrived Sunday evening.  Flying back Saturday.

Curious to see if Din Tai Fung here would fare any better than the ones in Taipai (see generally 5.110 (Chicken?) Xialongbao) or Seoul (see generally 3.202 Steamed Shrimp…).

Planning to (a) grab a quick preprandial snack, (b) go back to hotel and rest a bit, then (c) venture out later for street food, I ended up so exhausted after (b) that (c) never happened.

So (a) will have to suffice for this post’s featured meal.

Braised Beef Noodle Soup (3.0) —rich yet clean flavor, excellent texture in the noodles, overall much better than Taipei.

Skins were a tad dry, and a bit light on the soup, but overall much better than Taipei.
