Meeting starts tomorrow on Universal Health Coverage, which our leader Dr Margaret Chan has referred to as “the single most powerful concept that public health has to offer.”
To signify the importance of the meeting, a rare pre-meeting dinner was arranged for the invited experts, hosted by the boss and senior staff, on a Sunday, in Malate — which is unimpressive per se, but shows that everyone came across town so as not to inconvenience the guests, all staying nearby — and they brought me in to coordinate (first time coordinating an event that I wasn’t somehow directly involved in).
Went well, I think.
