My second attempt at making the dish (see previously 6.131 Gung Grapao), this time with minced chicken and the help of a sauce base by the brand Thai Aree that I’d acquired in Thailand.
The instructions on the back of the packet listed fresh basil as garniture.
However, as the name of the dish would strongly suggest – pad (stir-fried) ka prow (basil) – the fresh basil turned out to be critical, bringing the dish a bit closer to the real thing. After the photo, I added loads more. Lesson well learned.
