Out of nowhere, I was suddenly struck by a desire to try my hand at corn dogs.

I just happened to have some cornbread mix, which made for an easy batter.

No legitimate hotdogs available, I went with chipolatas from Australian producer Götzinger Smallgoods (see also 10.255 Chili-Chorizo-Dog Deluxe), simply because of their size.

Not bad overall.  The cornbread came out quite nicely.  The sausages – gluten-free – were kinda weird in taste and texture.   The dip of ketchup + mayo + hot sauce tipped the balance towards success.  The boys were impressed, which is what all of this is always about.

IZ: “Wait, this is our dinner? Like, we don’t have to eat any vegetables?”

I just realized: why is “cornbread” one word, but “corn dog” is two words, but “hotdog” is one word?
