Spicy Tuna & Carrot Gimbap

Whereas traditional Japanese-style maki tend to be simple in composition, featuring one or two components, Korean-style gimbap tend to be stuffed with multiple items, usually around 6, sometimes more, almost never few than four.

Here, the spicy tuna (straight out of a can) and shredded carrots (lightly salted) worked just fine as a pair.

We’re beginning the sad process of packing up the place for the move back to Korea at the end of the month.

These photos – taken before the flooding had damaged the rug and other items on the floor – capture our (mostly my) living room in what we all agree has been the nicest home that we’ve ever had, might ever have.
