Gyeran bab (계란밥) is a Korean dish, maybe.
RECIPE
(serves 1)
- 1 bowl of steamed rice
- 2 fried eggs (over easy, leaving the yolks intact)
- 1/2 cup/handful of crushed seasoned laver
- 1 TB of soy sauce
- 1 tsp of sesame oil
- salt and pepper to taste (optional)
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.
- Serve.
I don’t know if this is an actual dish that other people make. But at some point, W started making it for the boys whenever I wasn’t home to cook. Until now, I’d only heard about it after the fact. Tonight, I got home late after running some errands, but arrived just in time to catch her in the act.

I was shocked by how good it is, even though it tastes exactly what it would seem.
W’s best dish ever.
