Another meal kit from CJ’s Cookit series (see previously 11.357 Sous Vide Chicken Breast Steak with Cream Risotto)

According to the notes on the instruction sheet, the dish is supposedly inspired by the cuisine of the American South – presumably, some sort of Creole/Cajun thing, like jambalaya.

It was pretty bad.  The seafood, which can be tricky in any instant/kit situation, turned out kinda dry.  But the main problem was the sauce: way way too garlicky, way way too spicy, overpowering everything.  We ended up eating the lobster, shrimp, and corn, which were the only bits from which the sauce could be kinda wiped off – the rest went to trash. Absurdly overpriced at 45,800 won, supposedly for 2 portions.

Itty bitty lobster tails, pretty much the size of large shrimp.

I repeat my prior assessment that the kit would appeal only to a very specific someone that (a) can cook (b) but doesn’t have ingredients on hand (c) and/or can’t be bothered to buy them directly; (d) likes fancy sounding/looking food (e) though doesn’t really care how good/authentic it actually is; (f) has money to burn.
