Eongdeongi Bbang (엉덩이 빵) is a pastry product by Wonjuni Bakery. It’s a Korean-style steamed bun with French-style crème pâttisière. The name translates to “butt (eongdeongi) bread (bbang),” presumably in reference to its baby-butt softness. As yet, it’s still a cult item, though growing in national popularity.
Mom returned from a recent trip to Sokcho, where Wonjuni Bakery is based. She brought back several packages of the butt bread, anticipating that IZ would like them.
Personally, I wasn’t that impressed. Too soft, too creamy. But I could see how others who do appreciate softness and creaminess would like them.
IZ loved them.
