One of W’s favorite dishes at one of her favorite restaurant chains (see most recently 8.044 Grilled Daechang, Baby), the planned menu and venue for her birthday a couple months back, which got derailed when my mother got into a car accident (see 12.052 Sundae in Ddeokbokki Sauce).

The Songpa branch, now the closest to home.
The packed house would suggest total normalcy, other than the servers wearing masks (which I pray they keep doing even after this is all over).
Before restaurants installed such powerful ventilation systems, the air was dense with smoke from the fat of the intestines dripping onto live coals; not only unhealthy while eating, it negated the option of going anywhere else afterwards because of the stink now clinging to hair/clothes/bags.
For the first round, we also ordered tripe (yang).
Maybe not perfect this time, merely excellent.
