Cantonese-Style Chow Mein

2.5

at Holee Chow

-Dogok, Gangnam, Seoul, Republic of Korea-

with the Family, Mom and Dad

Deoksugung is a former palace.  One of the 5 Grand Palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty, Deoksugung was originally home to Prince Wolsan, brother of King Seonjong, 9th King of Joseon, who ruled from 1469 to 1494.

Tasked with accompanying IZ on a field trip, one of a series visiting various landmarks in the city, I was happy to see Deoksugung for the first time, having driven past countless times over the decades.

IZ (left) is the biggest kid in 3rd grade, possibly the biggest in the entire school; his best friend MC (middle) is the smallest boy in their class.

Afterwards, we joined W and DJ, Mom and Dad, for dinner at Holee Chow.

Chow mein seems so easy when done right, but turns out terrible when not done right.

This was one of the nots.
