It was fine.  Nothing like the goopy savory Singaporean-style black pepper dish (see generally 8.099 Black Pepper Crab), also unlike the dry black pepper dish that I had in Thailand (see 6.173 Black Pepper Giant Prawns), this was tossed in sweet-sour glaze with an underlying heat from the black pepper.  Good with steamed rice.
