As mentioned in GMTD’s first post on Buffalo Wings, the dish was originally concocted with Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (see 2.349 Buffalo Wings), plus melted butter.
The brand isn’t generally available in Korea, so I was happy to find that Costco carries Frank’s RedHot Wings Sauce Buffalo, formulated for making wings – the ingredient list includes “natural butter flavoring.”

For me, the taste of Frank’s is so inextricably tied to Buffalo Wings that putting the sauce on anything else makes it taste like Buffalo Wings; conversely, wings made with anything other than Frank’s may taste like hot wings, but not Buffalo Wings.
