After a long weekend in Japan (see most recently 13.356 Tamago), we needed comfort food upon our return (not really “needed”).  I boiled chickens (along with potatoes and carrots), intending to eat the meat (and vegetables), then make noodles/porridge with the stock.  But everyone was satisfied with just the meat (and vegetables), so I saved the stock for a future application.
