The term “bokkeum (볶음)” means “stir-fried,” applying broadly to any dish that’s tossed/stirred in a pan/wok over heat (see for example 12.210 Aehobak Bokkeum); the dish that’s referred to as “fried rice” in English is called “bokkeum (fried) bap (rice)” in Korean.
While kimchi fried rice has been featured on GMTD on 9 posts thus far (see for example 12.170 Kimchi Fried Rice), it’s never been labelled by its Korean name, until now.
