Dr Oetker is a German food producer.  According to the corporate website: “Pizza, cake, and dessert are our core business areas.”

Also on the website: “Our Dr. Oetker South Korea subsidiary was established in 2018. Our frozen pizzas from the Ristorante range, as well as our Dr. Oetker Vitalis muesli, are particularly popular with Korean consumers. Since 2021, we have also been selling frozen cakes as part of the Dr. Oetker Patisserie brand in South Korea.”

The pizzas are available at E-Mart.

Cooked 3 ways: first in the microwave for a couple minutes to thaw, then in a dry pan over medium heat for a minute to crisp the bottom, simultaneously with a torch over the top for a few seconds to blister the cheese and impart a hint of char.

It kinda looks like a delivery pizza, made from scratch.

Quite nice.  The crust was chewy and flavorful, on par with a decent delivery chain (e.g., Papa John’s).  The cheese was okay.  Most important, the tomato sauce was nicely seasoned, a bit tangy but not at all sweet, in welcome contrast to frozen pizzas produced in Korea (see for example 13.260 Gourmet Tomato Cheese Pizza).  And thankfully, no bits of basil leaves, despite its “Marghita” billing.  Will definitely try this again, perhaps with a few toppings.
