While E-Mart is the mainstream store and E-Mart Traders is the big box counterpart, where even fresh foods are prepared in bulk, and thus would seem less likely to be higher in quality, the latter’s ready-to-go tuna sashimi pack was actually superior, both in freshness and flavor, as well as presentation, and price (see 15.240 Tuna Sashimi/Sushi, Family Style), compared to the pack purchased tonight from the former, which featured premium cuts of chutoro at double the price, yet far less satisfying all around, even the plating was sloppy.
