Wasabi is a Japanese restaurant.  More of an izakaya (pub), specializing in various soups and skewers.  Might be part of a chain (many restaurants by the same name, but some with different spellings, different menus, different decors, etc).

Located in the shopping center across from the hotel, next door to Jikhwa Daecheop (see generally 14.139 LA Flower Preferential Treatment Rib).

Back in town for another book fair at Chadwick (see most recently 14.336 Saengseon Jeon!), which starts tomorrow.  Following the set-up today, I booked a hotel room (see generally 14.137 Shrimp Burger), saving myself a few hours of driving.  Wasabi for dinner.

Angle racks as tables below, storage space above (similar to how we do it in the warehouse).

The scallop dish was pretty good.  The scallops were fresh, though otherwise unremarkable.  The broth, seasoned with some kind of white wine, plus garlic + red chilies + tomatoes, was tasty, especially after it had reduced down.  The spaghetti was a nice final touch to round out the meal.  One and done.

10 scallops, each about the size of a quarter, served with chogochujang as a dipping sauce.
Generally felt more Italian than Japanese.
Broth reduced to half, further thickened by the pasta (fish cakes for additional charge).
