The Cali Roll – essentially a California Roll, only with shredded lettuce in lieu of cucumber – isn’t remarkable per se except for the fact that an Americanized roll is offered at all in an otherwise mainstream Japanese restaurant in Korea, and that it doesn’t come doused in sauce.
