Galbi Jjim with Perfectly Boiled-Braised Eggs

DJ is back home, after completing his first year at Cal!  He arrived Saturday, but I was busy with WOW, so tonight was our first family meal together in 123 days (see most recently 17.010 Signature (Lunch)).

Perfect.

While the standard recipe calls for a 7.5-minute cook (see 2.365 Perfectly Boiled Eggs (with recipe)), I took the eggs out at the 7-minute mark, still a bit undercooked, shelled them (very carefully), and braised them (very gently) for an extra minute in the galbi jjim to absorb the color and flavor of the sauce, thereby coming to perfect doneness.
