Chicken & Chips Platter

3.0

at CGV Ciné de Chef

-Sinsa, Gangnam, Seoul, Republic of Korea-

with the Family

Earlier in the summer, we had watched Disclosure Day at CGV Ciné de Chef but missed out on ordering food due to the late showing (see generally 17.164 Braised Pork Belly with Chinese Buns (Dongpayuk)).

This time, here for Spider-Man Brand New Day, the kitchen was still open.

IZ had already eaten a light dinner prior to the show, so we weren’t that hungry, popcorn would’ve been sufficient, but W and DJ arrived late, just before the movie started, and ordered the entire menu.

11,000 (2 medium popcorns x 5,500) + 180,000 (4 seats x 45,000) + 29,000 (chicken & chips) + 39,000 (lasagna) + 49,000 (steak) = 308,000 (not proud of it).

Slightly hit, mostly miss.  The chicken & chips were pretty good: crispy chicken strips + skin-on wedge fries + nacho chips served with a variety of dipping sauces.  The lasagna tasted like airplane food.  The steak would’ve been acceptable if served at a cheap Korean “fusion” restaurant.  All overpriced by triple, but kinda fun.

Planning on watching The Odyssey here later this week, but I’ve decided that we’ll grab McDonald’s on the way in.
