Prawns & Tofu
at Tao Yuan

Following recent revisions to the dim sum menu (see generally 6.297 Rock Lobster in White Pepper Sauce), Tao Yuan has now updated the main menu as well. Off hand — forgot to take photos, will do so and post next time — I’d say that about 10 new dishes have been added, don’t recall if any previous items were removed. I’m probably the only person on the planet who finds this newsworthy enough to write about it.
The first new dish to sample, the Prawns & Tofu was excellent. Fresh prawns, deep-fried tofu, luscious egg-drop gravy. Classically Cantonese, light yet substantial — my kinda dish, somewhere between “green” and “blue” on the TEITY scale (see generally 6.095 Done).
