Dinner to host a VIP delegation from Korea, including two parliamentarians of the National Assembly.
In light of the restaurant’s amazing brisket (see generally 6.129 Slow-Roasted U.S. Beef Belly), I’d been looking forward to the steak.
Disappointing. Somewhat dry in texture for ribeye. Though touted on the menu as US Angus, lacking rich beef flavor. And too much sea salt sprinkled on top. Overpriced at 1,895 PHP (about $40) + 10% service charge (not that I had to pay for it). But overall, not a bad steak in absolute terms.
The Angus T-Bone Steak — 1,200 grams, 4,750 PHP — will be the true test. Someday.
