Gai Hor Bai Toey (WHAT)

Gai hor bai toey is a Thai dish. Chicken (gai), cut into chunks, marinated in a soy-based sauce, wrapped in pandan leaves (bai toey), then deep-fried (hor). The leaves protect the chicken from scorching and, in theory, imbues the meat with flavor.
It was okay. The chicken was juicy and tasty, though a bit mushy, perhaps could’ve done with a bit more deep-fry. I’m not convinced that the pandan contributes much flavor.
Confirming our first visit, the food was good, though nowhere near as good as the flagship Thai restaurant of the flagship Thai hotel should be.
