In Bangkok. Here to participate in a consultation – “Innovations for Strengthening National Capacities in Health Law & Ethics” – as a pre-event at the 51st Conference of the Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium on Public Health. I had attended a similar event in Malaysia last year (see 9.249 Ostrich in Oyster Sauce).
Not flying business class, but my Star Alliance Diamond Membership gives me access to the lounge.

Very pleased to report that the main lounge in Concourse D now features a made-to-order station.
On this occasion, it was offering Coconut Rice with Grilled Chicken & Papaya Salad. The rice was forgettable. The chicken was competent. The salad was phenomenal – shredded papaya and carrots, dressed in a delicate yet punchy mixed of fish sauce and lime juice. I had 2 servings, then a 3rd of just the salad.
With that, the lounge jumps up into the Top Ten of Best in Lounge (see BEST in LOUNGE).
As always, I am grateful for and respectful of the opportunity to travel, especially via business class, including lounge access. Any comments here, even the negative ones, are simply relative to other business class experiences, not complaints per se.
