This dish used to be a family favorite (see generally 3.100 Chicken Hayashi Rice), but inexplicably dropped off the repertoire (see most recently 4.312 Chicken & Tomato Hayashi Rice with Tate Tots).  Tonight, hayashi rice made a triumphant return.
