While miyeok guk can be served at any meal on any day of the week, it’s a must for post-natal mothers (five times a day, every day, for at least month) and for birthday celebrants (at breakfast, on the day of).

YE gave birth to a daughter last week.

Today is W’s birthday.

I made a big dual purpose batch, though late on both counts.

I tripled the amounts of the basic recipe (see 7.054 Miyeok Guk with Sundubu), which worked just fine.
I didn’t have 3 bags x 350-ml beef bone stock, so I used 2 x 500-ml bags, different brands, which worked just fine.
