Jineo Chamchi is a Japanese restaurant. Specializes in tuna sashimi, served in Korean-style multi-course sets with an assortment of side dishes, in 2 options: Eo (어) (52,000 won per person), Cham (참) (68,000 won per person), with varying cuts of fish.

Located in the restaurant cluster of south Wirye.

We were the only customers, seated in a private section (frame left).

The food was good. The chef – asking whether we’d prefer to eat a larger portion of basic cuts or a smaller portion of premium cuts – had recommended the higher Eo option, and he was right: we were very happy with the higher quality of tuna, and the standard serving was plenty. The sides, I was happy to find, were a bit closer to Japanese than Korean. Not sure if we’ll return, but wouldn’t mind.
