ELT = Egg + Lettuce + Tomato.

Sandwiches involving various combinations of fried egg / tomato / lettuce / bacon / cheese have been long-standing staples on GMTD, with fried egg and tomato being essential (see most recently 13.195 CELT).

Generally, I prefer sandwiches cut into rectangles, simply because triangles are lame in their pointedness.

However, I’ve experimenting with triangular sandwiches because the extra space leading into the corners of the bread (the 90-degree vertexes) allows for a whole slice of tomato and a whole fried egg on each side, rather than a single slice of tomato and egg in the middle.  This way, when the sandwich is cut, the tomatoes and eggs remain intact.  But the drawback is the excess bread on the outers corners (the 45-degree vertexes).
