Having complained that my parents never remember my birthday (see for example 15.359 Royal Black), I forgot DJ’s birthday this morning.  Even as I was setting the date on my watch to July 15.  Even as I was preparing breakfast for him: seolleong tang, which I’d just noted the evening before would make for a good miyeok guk (see 17.190 Hanwoo Deumbbok Seolleong Tang).  Then everyone in our extended family group chat began offering him congratulations.

Confirming my first impression of this restaurant, the food is excellent.

In light of the “only in months with R” rule, I was surprised to see oysters on the menu, and happy to learn that farmed oysters can now be enjoyed all-year round.  Not that I even like oysters all that much.  DJ does, so we ordered 2 platters.
